THE PALACE ON WHEELS

The Palace on Wheels was built for the erstwhile Indian royalty and today serves to offer tourists an incredible and truly unique journey. Palaceonwheels affords all the facilities and luxuries worthy of kings. The saloons have an opulent ambience, done up in color themes. The two premium restaurants serve authentic Rajasthani food, among other cuisine. And, of course, the well stocked bar is sure to keep you in high spirits.

This luxury train journey by Palace on Wheels is an experience of a bygone era and it takes you on an excursion to discover the vibrant land of Rajasthan. The imposing forts, splendid palaces and ornately carved temples add to the enchantment and a trip to the wildlife sanctuaries of Rajasthan is always a thrilling adventure.

Day 1 - Delhi
1600 hours: Self arrive at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station for check in and board Palace On Wheels.
1745 hours: Departure for the adventure of a lifetime.
2000 hours: Dinner on board.

Day 2 - Jaipur
0000 hours: Arrival in Jaipur, the Pink City.
0730 hours: Breakfast on board.
0830 hours: Sightseeing. Visit the famous Hawa Mahal - Palace of Winds - with a profusion of windows and stone screens. The Jantar Mantar is the 18th century stone observatory, the City Palace and the Amber Fort Of Jaipur.
1300 hours: Lunch at the Rambagh Palace Hotel.
1700 hours: Departure for Jaisalmer.
2000 hours: Dinner on board.

Day 3 - Jaisalmer
0615 hours: Arrival in Jaisalmer.
0730 hours: Breakfast on board.
0830 hours: Sightseeing visit the Patwon ki Haveli,the three-hundred-year-old Salim Singh ki Haveli and The Gadsisar Sagar Tank
1300 hours: Lunch on board and rest.
1700 hours: Visit the sand dunes and experience the thrill of a camel safari.
1930 hours: Dinner while enjoying a cultural programme.
2300 hours: Departure for Jodhpur.

Day 4 - Jodhpur
0730 hours: Breakfast on board.
0800 hours: Arrival in Jodhpur.
0830 hours: Sightseeing - visit the Mahrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal, Jaswant Thada is the 19th century royal cenotaph
1300 hours: Lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace.
1530 hours: Departure for Sawai Madhopur.
2000 hours: Dinner on board.

Day 5 - Morning .. Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary
0400 hours: Arrival in Sawai Madhopur.
0630 hours: Breakfast on board.
0700 hours: Visit the Ranthambhore National Park, the famous Tiger Reserve. The reserve has a variety of diverse wildlife, including the Indian tiger, hyena, nilgai, wild boar, fox and over three hundred species of birds.

Afternoon .. Chittaurgarh Fort
1100 hours: Departure for Chittaurgarh.
1300 hours: Lunch on board.
1530 hours: Arrival in Chittaurgarh.
1600 hours: Sightseeing visit. The Chittaurgarh Fort, built in the 7th century, has many vestiges of heroism. Padmini's Palace is also situated in the fort. Visit the Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) and the Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame).
2000 hours: Dinner on board.

Day 6 - Udaipur
0645 hours: Breakfast on board.
0730 hours: Sightseeing - visit the Jag Mandir situated amid the Lake Pichola. Also explore the City Palace and Sahelion ki Bari.
1230 hours: Lunch at the Lake Palace Hotel.
2000 hours: Departure for Bharatpur.
2000 hours: Dinner on board.

Day 7 - Morning .. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
0600 hours: Arrival at Bharatpur.
0700 hours: Breakfast on Board.
0730 hours: Visit the National Bird Sanctuary which is the home to a large variety of exotic birds that fly in from the distant lands of Siberia and China.

Noon .. Fatehpur Sikri
1030 hours: Sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri, capital during the reign of Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. This city was built in the height of the Mughal splendor and its charm is well preserved till today.

Afternoon .. Taj Mahal
1300 hours: Lunch at Agra Hotel.
1500 hours: Sightseeing at Agra. Visit the Taj Mahal, the eternal symbol of love.
2000 hours: Dinner on board.
2000 hours: Departure for Delhi.

Day 8 - Delhi
Welcome back to Delhi Cantonment Railway Station to step back from fantasy to reality.

Note: While the royal train arrives at the platform by 0500 hours you can disembark after breakfast till 0745 hours.

Indian passengers can pay an equivalent amount in Rupees at the exchange rate prevalent at the time of payment.

Tariff is inclusive of cost of travel, full catering (morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner), conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments and palaces, cultural entertainment, etc. Tariff does not include liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.

Note: 10% surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas / New Year.

Booking -
20% of ticket value at the time of booking.
80% of ticket value 30 days prior to departure.

Cancellation -
5% of ticket value - 60 days prior to departure.
20% of ticket value - 30 to 59 days prior to departure.
50% of ticket value - 15 to 29 days prior to departure.
100% of ticket value - 14 days prior to departure.
